Rubia® is extracted from roots and rhizomes of Rubia cordifolia (aka Indian madder or Common Madder). Rubia cordifolia is also commonly known as Manjistha or Majith.
Rubia Cordifolia Extract has Phytochemicals, Purpurin, Manjestin, Alizarin, and Pseudopurpurin that give different tones of Red colour.
Textiles and fabrics dyed with Rubia cordifolia are good for skin health. Such fabrics become ideal during summer when ‘Pitta’ becomes ruffled.
This natural dye has antibacterial, antimicrobial, and astringent properties.
Dyeing & Printing Method
Dyeing can be done through Garment Dyeing, Jigger Dyeing, Yarn Dyeing (Hank Form), Rope Dyeing, and Fiber Dyeing.
Printing can be done through Rotary Printing, Knife Coating, Flat Screen Printing, Block Printing etc.
